About the Journal

The Multidisciplinary Journal of Health Information Management, Innovation and Research (MJHIMIR) is a research-based, peer-reviewed journal domiciled in the Department of Health Information Management, Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology (RSCHSMT), P. M. B. 5039, Rumueme, Port Harcourt. It is registered under ISSN 3026-9431 (Print) and ISSN 2971-6845 (Online), and publishes four times a year (quarterly).

Scope

The journal is addressed to the Nigerian and international academic community and accepts articles from all scholars in the areas of Health Information Management (HIM), Health Informatics, Medical Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Health Services Research, Innovation and Technology in Healthcare, Medical Research, Public Health Informatics, Knowledge Management, and Library and Information Science — as well as General Studies, Language and Curriculum Studies, General Management, Education, the Social Sciences, and other related fields.

Open access

All articles published in MJHIMIR are freely available to read, download, cite, and share. Authors retain copyright of their work under a Creative Commons licence, while readers gain unrestricted access without paywalls, subscriptions, or embargo periods.

Peer review

All manuscripts are reviewed by an editor and members of the editorial board or qualified outside reviewers. Decisions are made as rapidly as possible, and the journal strives to return reviewers' comments to authors within four weeks. It is the goal of MJHIMIR to publish manuscripts within three months after submission.
